Azimut has just added to its collection of super yachts a yacht that made its biggest mark in this sad year of losses – the Magellano 25 METRI superyacht.

Magellano is a collection named after the famous explorer Ferdinan Magellan – who is known for the first round-of-earth voyage recorded in human history.
As such, the Magellano was born with the purpose of cruising long-distance, for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the sea in every trip.
From Magellano 43, the “family” yacht of 13 m with the appearance of an expedition yacht to Magellano 76, the yacht of 22m which is spacious, sturdy but equally sophisticated in design, all built with the main purpose: excursions. But Magellano does not stop there, there are still people who love this line of adventure yachts, and Azimut did not disappoint them by launching the Magellano 25 METRI – the first superyacht in the Magellano line.
Magellano 25 METRI is a highly anticipated Azimut project, not only because it is the first superyacht in the Magellano line, but also because it brings many new technologies along with a completely new design duo.
Ken Freivokh is the man chosen for exterior design and drawing, and De Cotiis Architects, a leading Italian architectural firm, is responsible for the interior of the project. After years of sticking to famous names like Alberto Mancini or Achile Salvagni, Azimut chose a completely new duo to blow new life into this line of yachts.
And that choice of Azimut has been well compensated with results.
Magellano 25 METRI is 25.2m long, just enough to enter the world of super yachts. It took Azimut 1 year to survey the market and perfect the design, then a year for the first one with deep blue paint.
The highlights of the yacht’s exterior include the central part of the superstructure, which is completed with 3 sides of glass, creating the same feeling as a sea-facing penthouse for the guests on the deck, which also comes with it a modern look that breaks away from the design of a regular Magellano.
Contrary to the modern superstructure, the ‘retro’ window frames on the body will make 25 METRI return to the spirit of a “vintage” yacht that Azimut created for Magellano.

The new features of Ken Feivokh’s style have clearly created an interesting highlight, using both the smooth futuristic and nostalgic classical ways to create a design with depth.

The exterior is impressive, while the interior is likened to a real work of art by many yacht experts. De Cotiis Architects formulated a mix of all the premium materials that can be found on yachts, from a variety of wood, leather, Verde Alpi marble, walnut, copper, and especially wood with natural veins to create an artistic “flow” throughout the interior.
But the most interesting feature of the interior is that the designers use fiberglass combined with a special resin to create works of art attached to the wall on the deck. A layer of brass will be overlaid on these works of art to create a complete touch.

The interior layout of the Magellano 25 METRI does not follow a standard pattern that Azimut created earlier. There is a twist, there are highlights, but all that follow Magellano’s general idea: A yacht for a light deck experience. And that idea was excellently conveyed by Azimut through the way they built the structure and technology of Magellano 25 METRI.
The main deck of the yacht was built according to the concept of a penthouse with two areas indoors and outdoors. When necessary, the glass doors separating the two areas will be stowed inside to create a seamless space throughout. You will find large glass panels that cover the main deck instead of dry, hard walls, two sets of large sofas facing each other, a small bar, and immediately followed by a dining area. The use of color contrasting materials is maximized on the main deck. A relaxing area, instead of bright colors are exchanged for cool colors. And the dining area uses cozy olive colors. And not to mention the two “infinite” terrace areas, one at the stern and the other at the bow, where the guests have the best view for watching the sunrise or sunset. Finally, a small “beach” is created using the garage door of the back of the yacht.

Below the main deck, the Magellano 25 METRI comes in 4 or 5 cabin configurations, with a main cabin at its widest position and two equally sized VIP cabins on portside. The main cabin has an area of nearly 25m2 and is equipped with the latest anti-vibration technology by using elastic joints between the engine and the actuator to limit the vibration when the engine is running. One of technologies is applied for the first time.

From the main deck, there are two ways you can get onto the yacht’s flybridge. If you go from the stairs behind the interior saloon, you will step onto the Raised Pilot House (RPH), a place where the captain will control the ship during bad weather and not disturb the guests. From the RPH you will step outside onto the flybridge space that is set up for parties at sea. You can also come straight onto the flybridge from the stern via a beautiful spiral staircase. This yacht flybridge is fully equipped with a bar, seats, sun lounger, BBQ … for a party of up to 20 people. Magellano 25 METRI is also one of the 25m yachts with the widest flybridge in the industry.

In terms of technology, Azimut has made the Magellano 25 METRI a yacht equipped with the company’s latest technology. It includes the application of carbon fiber in more than 30% of exterior areas. The new generation Dual Mode hull technology ensures smooth sailing when the yacht must move through mildly rough seas. The “Hotel Mode” is first applied by Azimut in yachts, using a lithium battery to operate instead of generators, to run up to 8 hours at night, ensuring guests maximum peace and privacy as if they were staying at a 5-star hotel. And finally, the BCOOL air purification system, developed on the basis of NASA air purification technology, ensures that bacteria are removed from the air inlets, and at the same time corrects the air temperature and humidity to bring about comfort in the cabin.

Azimut is scheduled to release this model to the public in September. In the meantime, a short film directed by Gabriele Muccino about Magellano 25 METRI is in progress and will be released around the same time. It is predicted that the largest yacht company in Italy is placing a lot of expectations on this new super yacht model, not only because this is the first Magellano super yacht, but also because this is a milestone for the company when a super product with many leading technologies is released in the context of an epidemic.
